Our assembly

In July it was Room 4's turn to lead Junior School assembly. We were amazing. Each person in the class held up a flag and said a greeting from that country and then introduced themselves.

We read some of the poems that we had learned in class. We also showed the video we had made to encourage the New Zealand team at the Olympics.

Working with the Counties Manukau coaches

Here we are working on catching rugby balls.

Miss Arianny is a teacher

Arianny is excited to help other children to learn the names of the letters using the Frozen alphabet cards.

Dental Van

The Dental Van came to Dawson School. Our class went to see inside the van so that we knew what happened in the van. Arianny sat in the special chair and the Dental Therapist looking inside her mouth. She got to wear some sunglasses so that the bright light did not hurt her eyes.

We love to read poems

Wig Wednesday

Dawson School joined in Wig Wednesday to raise money for the Cancer research.

Lots of people had hair like Beau on Wig Wednesday.

Here is Beau sitting with the Principal of Dawson Primary Mrs Funaki.

Hair twins!

LaDainian

Amazing hair that Evamoni created at home.

Maamametua's hair changed colour of the day.

Eleanora had the same hair as Miss Wards.

Jill Eggleton we love your books and poems.

Mathew was excited to match the words in the large copy of the book with the words in the little copy of the same book.

School values

We are learning more and more about the Dawson School values. Here we are in the garden with the value poles. We are still learning how to say the different words.

Exploring what we can do with sand

We had so much fun in the sandpit. We made sand castles and

LaDainian made three volcanoes! Watch out for the erupting lava.

Kiwi ball

We loved Kiwiball.
We listened to the coaches and ran around the bases. We hit the ball with the bat.
