We are learning about how we are Uniquely Us. We are the same but different.

Can you work out who we are by our hairstyles?

Police dog visit

On Friday 18th March 2016 the New Zealand Police visited Dawson School with some police dogs.

We waved to the Police helicopter Eagle as it flew over our school. It flew in big circles above us. Miss Wards missed getting a photo of the helicopter because she was waving too. We heard different sounding sirens coming from the helicopter.

Here is Fuatai busy writing before school.

Working bee on Saturday

On Saturday some Mums and Dads came to school to help with the gardens. They did an amazing job. Thank you so much. The parents worked like machines.

Here is Carlos's Mum working on taming the flax bushes.

Fuatai helped too!

Fuatai's Mum was working on the weeds in the wetland area when Miss Wards took the photo at the bottom.

Miss Wards pulled out weeds growing around the vegetable gardens.

Time for a reward. Room 4 had a turn on the scooters. It was so much fun.

Another cup!

At Junior School assembly Room 4 were awarded the Class Cup. We were very proud of ourselves. Miss Wards was speechless.

At Junior School Assembly Karina was awarded a certificate for learning sight words.

Oops! You are getting ahead of yourself Miss Wards. Karina knows the Magenta and  Red words.

Fruit time

Each day at 10:30am it is fruit time. We each get a piece to fruit to eat. Yum! Yum!

Here is the trophy we were awarded

The winning trophy

So... Miss Wards you need to learn how to turn the photo around.

Ice block treat

Trophy for cleanest classroom of the month

The school cleaners award a trophy to the cleanest classroom each month.

We were so excited when we heard that Room 4 had won and even more excited when we saw the trophy. It is so shiny that we can see ourselves reflected on it.
