Ruanna and her sister

Here are Ruanna and her sister at the Book Parade. These photos have been hiding from Miss Wards and she just found them again.

tread lightly caravan promise

How are we doing. Here is the photo of Room 4 beside the Tread Lightly caravan at the end of Term1. We promised that we would put rubbish in the bin. Have we been working on keeping our environment clean and tidy?

Making playdough with rooms 1,2, and 3

In Term 2 the four Year 0/1 classes went into the kitchen classroom to make playdough. We had so much fun.

Visiting Room 21 part two

It was so much fun reading, drawing and making with the children in Room 21.

Visiting Room 21

Just found these photos of when we visited Room 21 at the end of Term Two.

Keeping the carpet clean

No crumbs here!
The children have been out with the brush and shovels to sweep up all the crumbs after lunch.

Junior Assembly Jahral gets a cetrtifcate

Can you see Jahral standing in front of Junior Assembly getting a certificate?
Miss Wards chose him because he keeps trying and learning.

Mathew making words

Here is making building words.

Ruanna reading

At the start of each day we read the boxes in our book boxes. Here is Ruanna reading from her box.

Letter puzzles

We are learning the names of the letters and the sounds they make. Here are some of our letter puzzles.

Stage 3 Space night sky

Stage 3 was adding the stars. This is called splatter. We had to be careful that no paint went on our uniforms. We hit one paintbrush onto other paintbrush and the little drops splattered onto the paper. We used white paint and silver paint. Each person's work looks different.

Working hard with the ladybirds

The ladybird puzzle has letters on one side and a picture on the other side. Jahral and Keanu worked together to complete all the pieces.

Stage 2 - Blue

The second stage is adding the blue colour. This time we use a sponge roller. We got some dark blue, light blue and black onto the roller. This time we needed to roll lightly to get the pattern.

Poetry

Each week we illustrate the weekly poem in our Poetry books. Miss Wards demonstrates how to do this on the whiteboard. First we need to work on the big shapes, then the small shapes and lastly on the details.

Artwork

During Term Three we are working hard to create an artwork for the Dawson Primary Art Festival.
Here is Sylvester working on the first step of rollering the paper solid colour.n We had to try get the paint over the whole roller and then we could roll the colour onto the paper.
